Sunny days are here again…

Remember how summer days seemed like they would last forever when we were children? Now I’d be happy to have just one day last more than a few blinks of the eye!  I’ve started my summer flowers, mostly containers so far. The sky is blue and the sunshine brings out the brilliance of the reds, purples, lavendars, pinks and yellows of my summer flowers.

I have only two papers to submit to complete the Creative Nonficiton Class I started last January. It will be a relief to submit those tomorrow.  I became bored with treadmill and started going to the YMCA three mornings a week to do water aerobics, great exercise and fun

We’ve seen three movies we really liked. Olympus Has Fallen, gave us lots to think about. 42 was wonderful. And we loved The Great Gatsby, after reading the consistently unfavorable reviews, we almost didn’t go. We went with friends  and we were all glad we saw it. The reviewers were totally wrong.

I read Elizabeth Strout’s new novel, The Burgess Boys and loved it. It was so good, I’m going to read it again. And I rarely read a book twice. Also read Lottery by Patirca Wood and loved it. I’ve read a couple others, but I don’t mention the ones I don’t recommend.

This is a short blog entry for a busy time of the year.

Till next time, keep reading my friends.  Ann
