After two weeks of rain, we had a beautiful sunny though quite chilly day. It was nice to be able to get outside and do some last minute fall clean-ups in the flower gardens.
It’s also a relief the election is finally over. No comments on the outcome…except that in our county and most of those around us, vote was 70% for Romney and 27% for Obama. We, who were foolish enough to listen to political pundits, had to listen to the likes of James Carvell claim our great state was really like two separate Pennsylvanias: Most of the state is allegedly like Alabama rednecks and the second half being our two large cities, Pittsburgh and Philadelphiha. Good grief.
I’ve been busy with my master’s class assignments this week and haven’t had to time to read any books. But I’ve read many good short stories by award winning writers. We also went to see a wonderful movie at our Independent Film Series on Monday evening, Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. A wonderful movie and we all loved it. I met a lady who’d driven an hour from a small town in New York state to see it for the second time because she liked it so much.
This is the time of year to count our blessings. If you are reading my blog, then I am thankful for you. HappyThanksgiving to one and all. And please take time to count your blessings! It’ll make you feel better if you do.
Till next time, keep reading my friends.
