A Little Sunshine…

Everything is lush and green in Northwest Pennsylvania. After days and days of rainy weather, I looked out the window this morning and felt an innate joy to see the brilliant blue sky and sunshine. I actually feel more energetic. And Lord knows I need lots of energy to keep up with my life.

I continue to write, of course. Also planting and working in the garden, making jams, as well as making time for friends and family are big priorities for me.

In the last two weeks we’ve attended two dance recitals…(actually dance extravaganzas!), two spring choral concerts and one gymnastic exposition. One of our four youngest granddaughters starred in each event, at least to us they were the stars. Last weekend we attended a beautiful wedding at Peek n’ Peak Ski Resort and the weekend before that was my older granddaughter’s Baby Shower.

We watched, on recommendation of a friend, Barfi, a captioned Indian movie available on Netflicks. It was a delightful unforgettable movie. It’s been nominated for some major awards and is destined to become a classic.

I’ve read only one book, The Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline. It was an eye opening historical fiction of little known events that are part of our American history between 1854 and 1929. There are still elderly people alive today who experienced the Orphan Train. Excellent book. I highly recommend it.

Till next time. Keep reading, my friends.
